Why would you even do this? Man was already signed up for the next 7 years. 😂 They obviously would've increased his wage so how does that not feel like just wasting money unnecessarily? You're also handing these players contractual & financial security for almost a decade so what's the incentive for them to maintain levels & standards? Nonsensical. Can make no sense of anything Chelsea do under Boehly.
