Dier is well clear. Maguire has done well for England tbf but I never wanted him at United, I genuinely never saw what the hype was about as he wasn't all that at Leicester either, I'd never been so negative about a big money United signing than I was when he outlaid a ridiculous 80M for him. The one time I did think he made a good impact was at the last World Cup where England were pretty solid at the back for the most part & he was a constant nuisance in the box for England corners.

@taylorjames14 Dier was very good under Jose at CB too tbf. For the first half of the season where they were top at Xmas I'd argue he was the best performing CB in the league, easily top two for that period. The performance levels of the Spurs team fell off in the 2nd half & Dier maybe too but he's certainly always looked more of a CB ever since Jose put him back there rather than the DM they had him for years.

@Alex-hj Relegated with Hull & midtable with Leicester. Wonderful. The season he joined Leicester they conceded a ridiculous 60 goals that season in the PL, to give context that is worse than United's defence last season who were appalling. You know how many United conceded that season? 28. Second best in the league with Smalling & Jones at CB. His two seasons at Leicester they conceded 108 goals, over 30 more than United's apparently awful defence did. Then United pay 80M for him thinking he's the answer. 😂😂 He actually had highly rated defenders next to him to at Leicester. I watched him plenty at Leicester, saw no sign of an 80M worthy CB. One of the most bafflingly overhyped players the game has ever seen & all the sheep who bought into the hype woke up when he came o United.
