Ten Hag is a big admirer of this guy & we all know how good he's proved himself to be developing good talent. At 14M there's nothing to lose. It's litterally impossible to defend worse than Telles anyway so he's already ahead on that score. 😂😂

De Jong did not flop at Barca he actually did very well whilst not being utilised in the role he prefers. De Ligt has underwhelmed but then you could say that the hype was ridiculous for him anyway, he's only underwhelmed by how OTT the hype was & he's still only 22. This is the first time too that they'll be managed by a very highly-rated & in his prime Dutch manager. You are typical of all rival fan logic, only finding the negative spin to suit your agenda. I love how you limit it to players of the last few years too because it's easier to justify your argument. Malacia in particular is built for the PL, he's very aggressive with some of the best defensive stats in the Dutch league.

Ajax hadn't won the league for a few seasons before Ten Hag went in there so they weren't the best team there at the time were they, it's not rocket science. He oversaw a couple of rebuilds & maintained a standard of dominance there. He took Ajax further than they've gone in many years in the UCL. He had a net profit of 230M euros over his time there & you are talking about budgets. 😂😂 Everybody is clamoring this Summer to sign the players he developed there. Your take is shocking & if he does turn United's fortunes around then I bet you'll be commenting in a couple of seasons saying "it was obvious Ten Hag would do well, look at the brilliant job he did at Ajax.". 😂😂
