Germany looked very impressive. Free-flowing & pretty flawless, particularly in that first-half. Some excellent finishing too. Scotland weren't great, granted, but Germany looked as good as I can remember any nation looking in the curtain-raiser match of a tournament.

@ecaeas4439 France even when they win comfortably don't look this seamless & pleasing on the eye. Germany looked like a very well balanced & on form team, which tbf, they have building up to this tournament too. Think it's a little ignorant for anyone to say that was all just because Scotland played bad if thry actually watched the game. Germany's quality making them look bad had a lot to do with it.

@ecaeas4439 You have your perspective & I have mine. I've been watching International football for decades & Germany played with a tempo, control, cutting edge & understanding as team tonight that you don't see too often in International football. Of course they'll meet teams that are a significantly bigger test than Scotland but that's not to discredit what I saw from Germany tonight judging this game in isolation. They were good value for this battering.

@ecaeas4439 You seem fixated on comparing them to France mate. We all know France are incredibly strong & the favourites, but complimenting how good Germany are looking isn't anything to do with what we may think about France. You seem to have all your eggs in the France are going to win it basket & are dismissive of the idea anyone else can look good enough to prevent that watch is a dangerous mindset. The feeling that France were clear favourites was there four years ago too & look what happened. France are favourites but there's other very capable potential winners of this competition too.

@ecaeas4439 You mentioned France in almost every comment so it's not the same. My comment was never supposed to be about comparing to other favourites in the competition. You made it that but I was just talking about Germany's performance specifically tonight which I was very impressed with.
