And I will tell you this: The belief in the superhero programmer that only counts "shit I did", without looking at the bigger picture; the quality of the product, the understandability and maintainability of the code (by someone that didn't write it), the actual result and the bottom line - means that most developers haven't actually understood anything about software development. The entire thinking that one can even measure "individual programmer productivity" in any meaningful way is nothing but ego and hubris.
