  1. Phobias! When your imagination blows reason in the ditch. I have some of the hard wired ones, spiders, snakes. When these pass a certain size, I feel the need to exterminate them, knowing full well that the size doesn't reflect the dangerousness at all. Extreme heights or stupid driver doesn't bother me personally, but I can't watch some of the videos on YouTube with people balancing precariously without safety or dash cam records of drivers failing to extract themselves quickly from dangerous and insane situations. I have phobias by proxy, lol. Oh, and another hard wired phobia I recently discovered: When swimming over deep waters with poor visibility, a sudden massive movement in the water proved insanely scary to me. Even if the place was a peaceful Swedish freshwater lake and the movement attributable to submerged springs, I still couldn't persuade myself it might not be a huge monster come to take a bite. I had to turn over on my back to protect my soft belly and back crawl to shore so fast Mark Spitz might have been left behind...
