  2. Dave It sounds very wrong, he being on camera, wanted by police and considered at threat to the locals until caught. It's probably beyound "alledged" - which means "according to some legend". The narrator avods responsibility for his own legend by calling it alledged. The expression stems from medical journals, where the doctor wants to accentuate the difference between his findings and a patient's recount. But here's no need to be guarded. He's recorded with a draws shotgun, he's not identified by name (no slander) and he's wanted by the police. He's simply the shooter or the wanted fugitive...
