  1. They fixed "the problem" – but can't figure out what it was??? Well... What did you have to fix? Wouldn't that constitute "the problem"? So! What's to investigate? Makes no sense, but reporters are just not thinking at all.

  2.  @chrisbauer1925  Of course, but that’s my point. It seems to me that in such cases you haven’t „fixed the problem“ – only reestablished functionality… You still don’t know what the problem really is…

  3.  @Bulhbluhbuy  Nope, it’s just that I’m a man. No sane man would fix his brakes without finding the cause for the fail in the process. And how do you get the lights back on without understanding that the circuit was broken. It's nonsense! Are you perhaps a journalist? 😉 But what they said was idiotic even beyond your examples: They allegedly fixed something they couldn’t determine what was!  It’s like saying „He removed the red ball without finding it!“ How’s that possible?
