  1. There’s many wildly divergent stories about how J.C. Brown presented himself to the locals, spanning from contracting agent to millionaire, whereas very little is to be found about his actions and whereabouts. As a whole this gives him the flavor of a charlatan. He pops up, talks a lot, disappears for 30 years (needs more money?) and pops up again with a John C. Root to organise an expedition to the fabled underground city – and disappears again on the very day the expedition was to set out. Nowhere did I find any mention of him showing any artefacts from his alleged visit to underscore his fantastic claims. I think him a complete conman.

  2. Well, the next ice age will lower sea levels once again, disclosing large numbers of cities and landmasses submerged when the last ice age ended. Don’t they come and go with a periodicity of 100,000 years? And what’s more: We'll all be around to witness the wondrous spectacle, just not in the same body as today – or so I hear (Not one soul was ever lost, one NDEer reported right here, on YouTube!)
