So you’re in fact saying that the size of the shadow cast by Earth is influencing our mood? Crimes may go up slightly at full moon, but this could be a side effect of the better nocturnal visibility.

The last 2 weeks of 1952 a series of UFO sightings were reported in Washington, D.C., and later became known as the Washington flap, the Washington National Airport Sightings, or the Invasion of Washington. There was visual and radar observations from both airports of several UFOs outside of both flight paths and normal capabilities.
