  1. What is this nonsense? They know the altitude of their own helicopter one would presume, right? They also know Brightons general layout fairly well or what? At several points a straight line can be draw from the heli’s point-of-view, through the object to a known feature on the ground. That’s enough to triangulate the exact distance to the object! So why are they so insistent that »it’s impossible to judge the distance to a light in the sky at night«? I can sit here and give a fair estimate just by watching the video! At the farthest the object is about 850 meters from the helicopter, drawing as close as 70 m later on...
