  2. I guess a certain cynicism is called for in politics, and McConnell certainly is an old hand. But the sloppy neglect of veterans and first responders is just beyond the pale! Sadly I'm afraid this arrogant neglect is common in the House of Representatives – when the cameras aren't recording. Last I heard the 9/11 case files were molding in an unlocked warehouse somewhere – never prioritized high enough to even be digitized, now "sadly unrecoverable in full..."
