Inversion point The contagiousness is high – as with all flus – but the mortality rate is important to the general public and the inversion point is important for businesses and social life. When we reach inversion, the point when the exponential rise turns linear and begin the decline, we're only halfway through the worst. But the continuing lockdown is financially unsustainable. To make a sensible governmental decision, the inversion delay (achieved by isolation) must be measured against the financial consequences!
