Home of the brave, land of the free seems to be having ugly fits of totalitarianism...

Jovan Leon No, that's militarism. I mean like in Russia or China...

captain moonrise Well, Captain Sundown, actually face masks protect the wearer some, the surroundings not. Get of the hysteria train and get grounded in reality, why don't you?

Rock Free World I would happily wear one – if health authorities recommended masks. But they don't. How this specific abuse of power came about in Philadelphia is unclear. Yesterday SEPTA's own recommendations didn't include face masks – as the company was "adhering to local and federal recommendations" as they themselves put it... But this kind of transgressions against common sense – not to mention the constitution – has lately become synonymous with blue states. This is probably due to democrats ingrained habits of lying and augmenting prevailing stupidity through delusions of grandeur. Dems may have some academic support, I don't know for sure, because the polls doesn't seem reliable any more, but perhaps mainly from those so naive they believe "well read" equals "well bred"? Anyway, the major blue cities are failing everywhere, becoming more and more dependent on state subsidies, getting it – and failing anyway. This statistic might tell their voters something rather crucial, but they don't even seem know how bad it is. They still believe CNN, Abc and MSNBC are news channels, I guess...

sudilos117 And you're free as well, although your definition of freedom seems criminally stupid or illegally sarcastic 😄

Nobody Knows Sadly, but not unexpectedly, it's you who don't bother about facts: As of yesterday SEPTA's website said this was the general state and federal recommendations they continued to follow and ask from customers: Quote: >>We also ask everyone to continue to follow good hygiene practices - Cover coughs or sneezes with your elbow. Do not use your hands! - Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. - Soap and water should be your primary source of washing. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available. - Clean surfaces frequently, including countertops, light switches, cell phones, remotes, and other frequently touched items.<< You see that there are no recommendations much less "rules" about face masks! – exept in you fantasy... Oh, and by the way, the entire entry from SEPTA reads like more of a defense against lawsuits for sloppy precautions than a real consern for drivers and passengers imo...

Jovan Leon Idiot! Look it up instead of making it up...

JOE Yeah, we're the same approximate age and I see it getting only worse. The IG, Horowitch, finished his internal investigation on the FBI FISA applications last week. Did any MSM mention his findings? I didn't notice any. But he found that out of 48 applications, only 3 adhered to the bureau policy! All applying agents had access to the central database, but in 44 cases they still neglected to verify the information in the FISA application as proscribed in the Wood's act and in one case a FBI lawyer falsified an email to support a fraudulent application. Only 3 applications were legit! The only recommendation from Horowitch was reforms, refresher courses and possibly more legislation. He didn't even touch upon the fact that the FISC went along with all the deficient applications without asking for the Wood's documentation and never sanctioned a single agent – even when the court knew from the congressional hearings that the evidence presented was grossly insufficient to warrant any surveillance...

Angie V Stop talking for a second and notice something fundamentally crucial: There are no health authorities recommending face masks be obligatory!

Jovan Leon That's what you think? Show me your documentation!
1
Jovan Leon Nope, because clinical trials show what I told you already, that face masks lend some protection to the wearer, almost none to the surroundings. You're just childishly fantasizing.

Lovely Lori I've spent less than fifteen minutes on this in total, no strain on my end. You're the sad one for endlessly arguing a lost cause instead of learning daily...
