  1. So ignited gas "exploded though a main supply line", right? Well, that's just not possible by accident! Even if you opened a main line and threw a pitch torch in, gas won't burn inside a closed pipe. Explosives wouldn't be enough either, not beyond the segment of pipe blown apart. To have a fireball propagate through a main pipe, oxygen would have to be added somehow.
