  1. I actually don't think that there's anything prohibits a judge from doing an investigation in an open case if he finds it necessary, and why would judge Sullivan suddenly become a fool? There's been something very underhanded and sinister about the entire Flynn case from the start. I can't imagine Sullivan would intend to pursue any of the dropped charges against Flynn, but he might have good reason to want answers from both prosecutors and Flynn's former defense about their behavior, and Sullivan might then tell the appellate court that he doesn't want to see the courts treated like pawns in a political game – especially not when accompanied with allegations of seditionist behavior one one side and impeachable offenses on the other...

Judge Gleeson wrote an internal review of the Flynn case at the behest of Judge Sullivan to determine whether Flynn was to be considered in contempt for twice making false guilty pleas
