  3. Jay V You don't seem to have considered the possibility that they lied to you. I spot-checked some of those, mainly CNN's, but they all the same. But I read them in full and thoroughly and I quickly discovered a common trait: 1. They make some outlandish claim of Trump lying. 2. They expand on their claim over several pages. 3. They arguments are like Schiff's and consist of speculation, strawman-arguments and hearsay. 4. To avoid lawsuits and forced retractions, they tell the actual facts, hidden away at the very bottom of the piece where few readers go. 5. The insurance against lawsuits invariably comes out supporting the overall gist of Trump's statement – which the headline called a lie. 6. This tells you some rather important things: They mislead their followers intentionally. They fear something Trump might do or cause. And I believe they have more to fear than just the label of "fake news", but we can come to that later, when and if you have begun acquainting yourself with the important facts and begun forming your own, fact-based opinions.
