How our veterans are treated is a reflection on how governments (everywhere) view their soldiers – and view the public for that matter... It has become customary, despite increased wealth, to treat soldiers as disposable pawns on a chessboard. On the upside, although appalling, we can now at least single out those politicians, who would abuse the most dedicated and trusting of the very people they were elected to serve – although I’m no longer convinced elected is the correct term...
