  6. Ha! Could be higher? Well, Reuters, could-be-would-be-should-be doesn't count at all in the real world and shouldn't be allowed to seep into real reporting. The death count is tallied too high already, because almost everyone elderly and chronicly ill who dies with suspected corona is counted as a victim. This has even been recommend practice from various national health departments, to which decent doctors have protested strenuously, simply because it's irresponsibly unscientific... The real mortality rate may end up as low as 0.3% or even lower. This entire exercise in alarmism smells fraudulent and seems driven by ulterior motives.

That's exactly the opposite of extending presidential privilege to times before Trump was in office. It's the prosecution, who's trying to extend the concept of "public interest" beyond the presidency itself. He tried to argue this, and she interrupted, because of the general principle of no guilt before legislation is effectuated...

The article in NYT comes off lacking evidence and hedges so much, it sounds like deliberate speculation. The most likely reason Trump don't know about this is that there never was anything to brief him about. Otherwise the numbers are meaningless! US: 13,000 in 328 mill comes out 3.9‰ Sweden: 600 in 10,3 mill comes to 5.8‰ So on the face of any sensible comparison, Trump is right and MSM wrong – again !

  33. Well, I'm all for full disclosure, but Reuters is speculating. I don't consider AG Barr to be Trump's henchman at all, as he has so far refrained from prosecuting any of the coup cabal members. He has also let his office continue to fight against the request from Judicial Watch to grant public access under FOIA to various key communications, which likely would expose the FBI complicity in the coup attempt further, leading to charges becoming unavoidable. No, Barr is behaving like any other Washington swamp creature, so it's far more likely not Trump but FBI and DOJ officials, he's protecting.
