Yes, Nunes did a man's job! And where were Trey Gowdy and Jason Chaffetz in this? Weren't they in a more immediate position to do the work? Both chaired the Congressional Commission for Oversight and Reform during the period. Both would have received most of the information ahead of Nunes. Both left promising careers in politics instead of pressing on. What did they fear? Both now seem to eke out a living as commentators on various news channels, but that's a huge career setback for such promising men in their prime! There's an untold, sensational and potentially devastating story waiting to be uncovered here, but investigative journalism is apparently waning? I've been waiting for some reporter to ask the natural questions and do the footwork, but nothing so far. Why is that?

@ruth6471 No, you're absolutely correct. They were asked, and gave these cliche answers. But it just doesn't make any sense and the reporters should have pressed harder. Both looked spooked for a period, especially Jason, the departure was too sudden, it was surprising to all, simultaneous and far too unlikely. There's something important hidden in this affair and I think they ought to tell us, if they want to serve America. Trey wasn't a fan of Trump, but gradually came around and his sense of fairness forbade him to accept the unjust treatment leveled on him. Trey must have known what kind of corrupt hitman Mueller really was, and yet approved him as special counsel. And Trey was cashier for the congressional rape slush fund — by law exempt from FOIA no less! This is also something he needs to be questioned about, but none of the news media ever did. I only know from Judicial Watch...
