The entire premise for this 'Big Think' is false! There never was and never can be any controversy between Truth and Reality! Only perceived reality can deviate temporarily from truth, and the error will be corrected once the established misconception causes discernible problems — although of course not by the established authorities of the epoch. It is also false to postulate "… we evolved to survive…" because evolution is not a one-sided, human affair: Whenever an organism evolves, it changes the environment of others and itself! This in turn triggers new, complex and surprising selection-processes on the propagated genes in all the affected organisms, sending cascades of change rippling through reality! It is especially absurd and narrow-minded to assume that humans evolve without changing the environment; our footprints are everywhere. But more importantly: This realization shows that evolution is a secondary phenomenon to some primary process rarely mentioned by science… Now, what might that be?

The opening statement, that consciousness is „the thing that makes us ‘us’“, is false. Further deliberations down this path can not lead to coherent, meaningful clarity – only to simulations of mental scenarios accompanied by emotions of the same nature as our nightly dreams. Consciousness is not the „I“! It is the awareness of the „I“ – whether „I" is thinking or not thinking. By this awareness of the „I“ anyone may realize that ones identity is comprised of a body-image and a complex of mental ideas, often called the „ego“. Before awakening, the individual has never noticed how the awareness is always present, no matter what he is thinking and/or doing – or not, as the case may be. After awakening, the quality of everything changes and everyone to whom this happens will eventually realize that all awareness is Universal, that it is One and Indivisible – and that it is Eternal. All matter on all physical planes of existence exist only in this Eternal Now of Awareness. Jesus of course knew this. When asked by the clergy how he could presume to know better than Abraham and the prophets, Jesus answered „I am, before Abraham was!“

I don’t know why some scientist keep saying „we see no evidence“ of ETs. I’ve watched a black, triangular craft the size of half a football field go from hovering silently to crossing the morning sky in less than 2 seconds and it all happened in complete silence. There’s thousands of credible observations and now we get them from the military as well. It sounds more like denial of the inexplainable than science to me…

Are you seriously trying to peddle the lie that »the experts and the elite« always knew better? If so, I’m sorry, but you just placed yourself square in the center of the segment you’re trying to distance yourself from, the gullible, naive and emotional Americans. Sadly, however, you’re also far below them, because they have something you have not, they came fully equipped with gumption, see? All you have are delusions of grandeur and a need to control the uncontrollable. You are to put it bluntly a fruitless control freak and your face does seem to bear the scars of unhappiness… Was that what you were trying to peddle? How does it feel when the table is turned?

Nothing exists outside the eternal Now — not the past and not the future. Time is an arbitrary concept used to describe the relation between distance and speed. Time is considered a useful concept, because it allows people to meet at one, predetermined place to cooperate or trade or marry or whatever… If time was real, we wouldn’t need all the conventions regarding what time it is here, there and everywhere. Time travel will never be possible, but place-warping might be, if wormholes can exist in dimensions unseen and living organisms can survive using them.

I didn’t listen for very long, because you keep making the same error about The Now. No, Sabine! We do not „experience the now“! To do that, we’d need to be else-when, but the thing is that The Now is so fundamental to everything in the universe that nobody and nothing can ever exit from it. The Now is eternal. Oh, and by the way: Time is only a function of relativity and cannot have an existence by itself.

It is futile to talk about time as if it had an existence by itself. Time is only a concept of great convenience, not an actual thing. It is not a mist, a stream or a barrier and therefore certainly has no direction. Everything happens in This Eternal Now, always did, always will. It follows that time travel is an erroneous concept. The real issue is the idea of traversing huge distances with disregard of the speed of electromagnetic waves – short-circuiting space as a intrusion-vortex (a so-called wormhole, which is an unfortunate and misleading name).
