Seems to me that big tech is allowed to have their cake and eat it too: They’re exempt from liability as a public platform, but are still – although not liable – allowed to act in an editorial capacity, blocking, exposing or censoring, even clandestinely, what they want – not just to protect their investments, but for purely political reasons. This is imo the real conflict, not the one Dershowitz might prefer to promote, which is frankly nonsensical. It is disturbing to me how affable Americans have become to authorities of late, allowing them to literally dance up smokescreens just by stringing words together that ultimately means nothing. Professor or no, you should still demand they make sense!
