Why does India claim to be the third largest economy in the world with 11 trillion dollars GDP when140 crore population of India is lower middle class? First thing first. India never claims 11 trillion or 3.75 trillion economy. India is the 5th économic country in the world? Fake India statistics data : That claims are done by IMF and World Bank. 3.75 trillion is Nominal GDP. And 11 trillion is actuall value and world pays that much less to India when they buy Indian stuff compared to western stuff. Yes we are selling our products undervalued due to trade barriers raised by them and our govt. That is why Nominal and PPP GDP has huge gap. This question is rooted in so much ignorance on so many fronts that it’s quite possible that it was either generated in an utterly Yankee mind or created as CIA propaganda. This question is incorrect on geopolitics, economy and even basic mathematics. India claims to be the third largest economy in terms of PPP which it is with 12 trillion dollars of GDP in PPP terms. So that’s mathematical ignorance. GDP in nominal and PPP terms are calculated differently and that is economics ignorance. And overall question is about geopolitical ignorance.
