  1.  @martinandrew3189  First of all, I am fully aware of the history of Korea prior to it's partitioning after WW2 when occupying Japanese Forces were defeated in the northern Korea by the former Soviet Union and the the southern half, by the United States. The US. Both the US And the USSR agreed to divide Korea on the 38th parallel; the US created the South, while the USSR through negotiations with China created North Korea. For you to think that I didn't know this, is laughable. Again, I was a defense attaché for the US State Department/DoD to South Korea. If I need a brief history lesson of Korea, I can always refer back to my Political Science Degree - how about you? Do you have a degree in Political Science? Have you served your country as a Defense Attaché and in this particular discussion, South Korea? Your comment of "we took the rebellions side" is so laughable, that I wonder if it takes you two hours to watch a segment of "60 Minutes." The comment also tells me that I'm most likely writing a North Korean or Chinese Bot working with the IPA or NK's KCIA, as no college educated or Poly Sci accredited individual would write such a ludicrous and uneducated comment. You really need to run along now and have your handlers inform you of your obvious lack of knowledge in Korea or if you aren't a bot, please further your education beyond the 5th grade, graduate from University with a Poly Sci degree and serve as a Defense Attaché and maybe then, you'll come near my level for further discussions. Thanks for the laugh - greatly appreciated.

  7.  @martinandrew3189  First of all, did I ever write that our presence deterred NK from developing Nukes - the answer would be no - so cross that comment right off your bucket list. Secondly, NK with it's nukes has gotten nowhere near to invading SK since their failed attempt in 1950 which you apparently seem stuck in that timetable. Russia can claim Ukraine (not much success there) and China still hasn't invaded Taiwan since it's first threat to do so in 1949 - History isn't on your side, so you might want to rethink who the idiot here is - notably you. Third, I have a Master's in Political Science, served my country for 20 years as an intelligence officer and Defense Attaché Europe and Asia, Seoul US Embassy and now am a Gastroenterologist. No US Presence was placed in a foreign nation to deter nuclear advancement or even stall any forms of weapons technology - the presence is there to deter a military attack and to maintain a battlefield balance until reinforcements arrive or be supplanted by advanced weapons technology which the US, SK and it's allies certainly have. For NK to attack SK and even attempt to utilize it's limited nuclear capability is instant suicide. With that said, you can control alt delete your 1950's Cold War BS and reroute your GPS to someone who's as naïve as you are for further discussions - I'm not the one you want to "toy" with on Poly SCI matters and certainly not DOD defense posturing. Now run along and converse with some "Foot soldier level" individual who's at your level and certainly not at mine. Reality tells me that our presence there isn't a "Speed bump" and I don't recall Taiwan, SK being invaded and well, Russia is having a "Great" time in the Ukraine..not. You're done here and don't be so quick to call someone a fool.....fool!
