@baardagaam No, they are slowly grinding down to a complete halt by not adapting to the global employment changes that keeps a nation afloat -- why is it that most Germans who possess Masters or Phds in medicine, engineering or social sciences are leaving to overseas locations or elsewhere in Europe? It's because the German employment system, like much of all their systems is rigid, complicated, redundant and most of all not flexible - they have no one to blame but themselves for employment shortages. I work in HR here in Germany and I can tell you horror stories about hiring practices that are illegal, yet still being carried out and such as racial profiling, unbelievable Nepotism and purposely disregarding university accreditation from certain nations regardless of profile - think about the nations that I might be referring to. Keep in mind that Germany was prosperous after the war due to immigrants working jobs that the Germans themselves, didn't want to do and that is continuing to this day EXCEPT that your average immigrant is now as educated as most Germans and doesn't see it fit to work menial jobs when they too, have degrees. "He/she who lags behind change, loses."

@ostpreusse2322 Glad to hear you are Patriot loving the Earth you were born into, however, I'm not sure what the relevency is of your peace loving position with this topic - either way, it's a moot point.
Now, lets talk.
In order for the US to establish any type of mutual defense agreement with Poland either directly or through NATO, Poland as a soverign nation must agee to the terms or in other words "invite" the US presence on Polish soil or in another words accept or concur - it's all the same terminology.
As I'm not old, I clearly remember why the US wanted to station missiles in Poland and that was to protect against future missiles from Iran. According to US/Israeli Intellgence, Iran was planning to deploy it's Shahab (Meteor) 3 having an 800-930 mile range and the Shahab 4 with a 1,240 mile range to target NATO Forces. As a response the US proposed the European Interceptor Site (EIS), missile defense base but was never built. It was intended to contain 10 silo-based interceptors: two-stage versions of the existing three-stage Ground-Based Interceptors with Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicles that had a closing speed of about 7 km/s. The plan was shelved once new intelligence sources confirmed that Iran did not have at that time, the reach capability to threaten NATO assets. The EIS was cancelled in 2009, and replaced with the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System positioned in Poland and Romania in 2018. Polandi is currently building its own missile defense within NATO, complementing the US deployment. Poland's tentative budget for the next decade is "$10 billion for the modernization of air defense, where half of this sum is dedicated to lower-tier missile defense.
So now with that explained, let's clarify some other items.
You cannot compare West Germany and Poland as West Germany was not considered a soverign state after WW2 and neither was Poland. Under the surrender terms of WW2, West Germany was created by the US, Britain and France with East Germany under Russian control - Germany remained an occupied country which some say still is today with over 40,000 US troops still in Germany. Poland on the other hand, didn't become Soverign until 1993 when the last Russian Troops left and Poland withdrew from the already debunked former Warsaw Pact.
Poland's economy is nowhere near that of Germanys and this remains so to date: Germany has the number one economy in Europe and fourth largest in the World; Poland has the sixth largest economy in Europe and 21st in the World - with those facts, one can say Germany remains in a "wiser" position than Poland - enough said.
Whether or not Germany or Poland will fight for it's own territory remains to be seen - again, that's your personal opinion - neither here or there.
What the relationship between the USA And Poland will evolve to, is anyone's guess; I don't know this nor do you - again, speculation and personal opinion.
Speaking of historical events, your call sign is Ostpreusse 2322 - technically you might to consider changing that to KalingradOblast 2322 as East Prussia no longer exists - that land now belongs to Russia.
Have a good day.
