@FlyingDutchGirl The Wallonia region was always different than France and though they speak French, their culture is not French, but rather a mixture of Dutch, German and French combined; Belgians known as Flemish are more dutch oriented than those in Wallonia. Belgium itself is nothing more than a nation of 3 cultures representing it and making it trilingual even at the highest levels of government. I haven't seen either Flemish or Walloonians wanting to annex themselves to either the Netherlands or France should Belgium dissipate.
