@vocker.5170 The "reality" of this Memoranda has no legal teeth for any signatories to commit to - both the Bush and Clinton Administrations stated it was not "binding" nor contained any language to "protect" the Ukraine should it or any other signatory nation come into conflict. The EU cannot keep Ukraine afloat with the US and Zelensky knows this. This is EXACTLY why he's in Saudi Arabia right now telling the US, he's ready for a deal. Where's Macron and Starmer with those troops to deploy to the Ukraine??? Notice how that died down really quick as they can't AFFORD to send troops. You obviously haven't been following the news and America is doing just fine Should the US pull out of NATO which it funds 75% of or leave Europe altogether, the EU will suck ass so hard that the Rhine River will flow backwards. Trump thought about taking 35,000 troops from Germany to Hungary and the German Chancellor panicked - should the USA close down Ramstein Air Base, the German city of Kaiserslautern will feel such an impact that the state of Rhineland Palatinate will lose it's largest employer. They have no idea how much damage the US can do by leaving Europe and letting NATO crumble. Amazing how just in one week after cutting military aid to the Ukraine, the Ukraine has lost Kursk and is losing on all sides of the front - all this just from the US cutting only military aid. Just think what would happen if the US withdrew it's 75% of funding in NATO and pulled out it's entire military and support structure in Europe. I'd give it less than 24 months and Europeans would be fighting each other again just like in WW1, WW2 and afterwards. The EU has lost it's damn mind thinking it's some "Country" when its in fact, an economic union - it has no head of state. And these idiots here wonder why the EU wasn't invited in the Peace Talks. Good news: the USA, not EU has resumed with intelligence operations for the Ukraine Tell me, why didn't the EU take over those operations? Nowhere in her job description does she engage in Defense, Security or war efforts - we have Defense Ministers for that. Please cite that treat or document IN WRITING that specifically states the US is responsible for Ukraine's defense or sovereignty ---- we are all waiting.............................

no one cares about an EU Presidency -- the EU is not a nation and it holds ZERO weight against Russia, the USA, China or any other foreign power. The USA alone could squash the EU in five minutes if it wanted to. Just last week the US cut military aid to the Ukraine and within one week, the Ukraine lost Kursk and is losing on all fronts now Where's the EU now?? All talk about sending money, but don't have the operational logistics to keep the Ukraine going -- BIG BROTHER USA was doing all that and now the EU is stuck doing it and cannot. How stupid are you people to think the EU is country or some nation? The EU is an ECONOMIC UNION like it's predecessor the EEC was - the EU's job is NOT to engage in wars or defense but to build a union amongst member states regarding trade, commerce and finance. Did you forget that? Ursula Von Der Leyen is not a president of a country - she's a COMMISSIONER of the EU which is NOT a country and she's no head of state. This is exactly why the EU is never invited in heads of states meetings as the EU is not a country Some of you really need an education....I mean really.

So, Zelensky has agreed to a 30 day ceasefire as the USA initially told him to do while details are being sorted over the final agreements. So, where is the EU on this exactly? Oh yes, the EU wasn't invited! Why? Because the EU isn't a head of state or a country - it's an organization who's predecessor the EEC NEVER got involved in security or defense but rather trade and commerce - like the EU is supposed to be. In fact, the Von Der Leyen's exact duty description is " The EU Commissioner is to foster and liaise the economic, financial and commerical aspects of EU Member states for cohesion." Nowhere does it state she is a "head of state" or "Defense Minister," so why is calling on Europe to increase it's military budget, when during her time as the former German Defense Minister, she LOWERED the Military budget - how ironic and hypocritical. The EU needs to return to it's original charter and stay out of the areas of defense and security as EACH nation's head of state and Defense Ministers see to that. Also, so long as the US doesn't pull it's contribution out of NATO which is currently at 75% of NATO's entire budget, the Secretary General of NATO is responsible for advising and coordinating EU Member/NATO States on defense, not Von der Leyen. The only thing this woman is missing is a black cropped moustache on her upper lip and a brown uniform. Not to worry, Big Brother USA will see to it that she return to her proper position behind the scenes...guaranteed.
