  1. I doubt she will win -- keep in mind the Church of Scientology has money that can stretch out any lawsuit beyond infinity. Furthermore, Ms. Remini was a former Scientologist and departed on her own merit and choice. In short, joining is voluntary and so is departing as Ms. Remini herself is proof. It will boil down to her specific participation with the church and the aftermath. She will claim harassment against the church and church will defend itself by stating that Remini is slandering their name - which is exactly what she'll be charged with IF she cannot provide evidence to back her claims. It will be interesting to see how it pans out.

  2. She won’t win - joining a church is voluntary - leaving is too. She chose to fight the church - her choice; the church fights back which is what one would expect. Unless she can prove by facts ( not hearsay or opinions), she’ll exhaust her means to carry on a long-term fight which is exactly what the church wants
