If gravity is so strong that we need so much thrust to launch, how come we’re not crushed under the weight of it? If gravity is so strong it keeps oceans of water stuck to a spinning ball, but is gentle enough that a helium balloon rises effortlessly?. “Believing” in gravity is just that a belief which is based on faith. Most do not question it as it is programmed very deep in the mind and subconscious.

@bobdigi500 If the object is more dense than the medium it’s in it will fall. If it’s less dense it’ll rise. So, a rock is more dense than air and will fall. A ballon filled with helium which is less dense than air will rise. That same ballon filled with air will fall. With half air half helium it will hang in balance. When you blow on a dandelion the white seeds float and fall ever so slowly because they are just a bit more dense than air. Gravity cannot be proven it is a theory. When objects fall all that’s being proven is that the object is more dense than air. Density and buoyancy can be demonstrated and proven.

Lucid Dream an object falling proves that the object is more dense than the medium it is in. That is all. Gravity is based on the theory that an object is pulled toward another larger object based on its mass. If this was true then it should be easy to demonstrate on a smaller scale. However, one cannot replicate this. There is no real scientific proof that gravity exists. I know it’s a hard pill to swallow since it’s been rammed down your throat since you were a small child.

How would one go about demonstrating gravity? An apple falling from a tree like with Issac Newton? Or Neil Tyson dropping a microphone? All that proves is that both the apple and microphone are more dense than air so they both fall until they come in contact with a medium or object that is more dense (the ground). Gravity has never and will never be demonstrated while density and buoyancy are easily demonstrated. It’s a bogus unprovable blanket explanation for how everything magically “sticks” to an orbiting, wobbling, spinning ball with a magical atmosphere that inhibits our experience of all this motion while flying through space at millions of miles an hour. What a joke.

@chiphill4856 you assuming that’s what would happen. You cannot simply demonstrate that yourself. You’re imagining it all in your head assuming it is that way from what you’ve been shown in movies and told to believe. When was the last time you performed your “ball weight” demonstration and when will you be doing it again? Objects are not “attracted” to the earth. They simply fall or rise/sink or float in accordance to their density relative to the density of the medium they’re in. Helium balloons rise, balloons filled with air fall, and a balloon filled with half air half helium will hang in the air in perfect balance neither falling or rising. Does gravity discriminate between a helium filled balloon and an air filled balloon? No, objects simply rise or fall/sink or float relative to the density of the medium they’re in. Also, speaking of the “vacuum of space” how can a vacuum exist without an enclosure while next to a non-vacuum?

@doom-whitemane a bunch of theoretical mumbo jumbo. Objects being magically drawn to a larger object in relation to its mass cannot be demonstrated. The simplest explanation is usually the most correct. The concept of gravity is so ridiculous that they have to come up with the most ridiculous explanations. Explanations which cannot be demonstrated. This is faith and belief not concrete “science”

Lucid Dream . I understand it very well to the point that i easily see the flaws and ridiculousness of it. If something cannot be demonstrated or recreated it isn’t scientific fact but only a theory. A faith based belief. Everything you just described is theoretical. Gravity is equivalent to magic as it appears to be this magical force that cannot be demonstrated or recreated but only believed in.
