Honestly the only way russias political moves make sense is putin is an old man who thought he could get 1 last easy win but vastly underestimated his victim. Now he is fighting indirectly against nato and is scraping together everything so that when he dies he does it as a hero that clapped ukraine. To putin tomorrow does not exist because he is an old man anyways so it does not matter to him if he accidently turns the entire world against him.
