  6. I only did the sweet potato pies today. I'm only responsible for sides this year, mashed potato, gravy and green beans casserole is going to be cooked tomorrow (aside from turkey--that's the hubby's duty). Happy Thanksgiving, enjoy!

  16. They have a hearth, I think they'll cook there. When our electricity was out, my husband would cook soup and make coffee using our wood burning fireplace lol. Although cooking outside on a nice day is nice as well :D

  20. From previous responses, what I know is the cabin is theirs (not rental--although the storyline is they rented the place) and they built it in 5 weeks in their land but I believe this may be a type of a 'set' but they could also live in it or camp in it, I suppose.

I feel so sorry for Justine now, she likes Ron, but I can see Lucy's perspective as well (for that time). She just wants the best for Justine and makes sure that she marries well. I wonder if Justine will end up running away..eloping with Ron... Oh, the scandal! (Yes, I'm invested in this story now--I also want to know what's going to happen to Ben and Lucy's finance as well) I can see that happening but I also can see Justine may be able to turn things around to get Lucy and her mum to accept Ron as her intended. I hope that all's well that ends well.

  23. I don't know about Justine, perhaps there is Justine and a Ron. But yeah, I enjoy knowing Ben, Lucy, their daughters and Lucy's sister were real people in the 1820s. The Stephensons have a pretty interesting history and scandal from the tidbits that I found on wikipedia. They've not showed them yet, but I wonder if they're going to feature the two older sons characters of the Stephenson one day on this channel.

  42. I'm sure some have had to do that back then. If they lived in the middle of 'nowhere,' it probably took days/months for an ordained minister/priest to make the travel to where they're at. Although they're right, if they're found out that they're not married, they're going to be kicked out or be outcasts. :(
