@YannahYahyel Are you serious?! I've been struggling with my husband being very ill (he works all his life) and can't even barely receive any assistance food-etc (luckily they do have food pantries).... people getting 3k a month?!

@marg7772 Nope. I understand OP's statement. He worked and paid his taxes but was not being treated humanely while he was still alive. It is heartbreaking to hear.

Seriously? I thought they mostly got their money from either fans, merch, promos/ads, plus investment.

To be fair, Idc about suits or whatnot, but Zelensky was on his fundraising tour, so he's got his hands out for handout...the least he could do is ... look somewhat presentable. But I understand too that he wants to look like he stands in solidarity with the soldiers so he's dressing in that, good PR.

The pronouns thing...they're pretty recent in my recollection--then again I'm old like Asmon so yup. I remember years of not having to put my pronoun in my e-mails and other communications or having to answer which pronoun I want to be addressed as...I don't mind having to write my pronouns though. But I guess, it's not okay to do that. Man, the last 10 days feel so weird.

I just read from past articles from NBC News, CNN claiming how even Biden had some heated exchange with Zelensky when he's in office AND at that time his administration kept helping Ukraine...Biden told Zelensky that he was being ungrateful and only focused on what they lacked publicly even after US freed up billions upon billions of budget for Ukraine assistance. So, imo, the difference is, that article was based on interviews of Biden's aides so we heard from a third party, while now, we got to see this live on air.

He sounds like a very well-informed person and very eloquent as well, but to see an R-president twice in a row is kind of rare (based on the years I've been here anyway), so it'll be interesting. I think that so far, he's very likable no matter how much smear the other side of the aisle tries on him, but it's still 4 years to go to see. He may not even want to run, I remember watching his interview with Theo Vonn and he and his family were a tad not 'used' to having secret service all around them like extra family members 24/7... we'll see how it goes thou, if he'll even run.

I totally do understand why many citizens are upset, I mean, where I live (Which is one of the sanctuary cities), there are MANY people houseless. Many families lived paycheck to paycheck and the monthly rent is..just..so HIGH. So if any one of them got sick-car broke down-anything wrong, they would fall under hardship and lose their housings...not all the houseless are just drug-addicts (plenty of them yes but many are people who just happen to fall to hard times without any safety net of family/friends/etc). Geeze. The current local gov has been taxing us higher and higher to pay for the houseless but we barely see anything done (since we see so many of them living on the street or in ghost RVs)...where does all the money go? If they found out that they're tunneling to the wave of migrants...ppl are just pissed.

My friend who's very liberal-socialist watched the exchange and can't even justify ...Margaret's argument at all. He's just as confused as others watching this lol.
