  1. It was once again an concerning press conference from Mr. Biden. He is clearly having health problems. There was also a change in rhetoric. Mr. Biden proclaimed "We will support Ukraine as long as we can" which is even more concerning. What is the Ukraine strategy from the US? If the current package passes, it will be about $5 billion a month until the election is over. Europeans want to know whether or not the Americans are going to share in the massive economic costs in the long term. It would be a grave strategic error from the US to just throw Ukraine over to the EU and just say "Well they are worthless anyway, let them deal with this." Beyond that is the security question. How could Ukraine join EU without joining NATO?
