It is concerning because if you are in the professional class and follow world events, Putin was being more truthful and insightful than Western leaders, Americans in particular. I love democracy but democracy cannot work unless our leaders are willing to talk about the serious, adult matters in an honest manner. What has happened over the last decade is that you cannot follow US mainstream media anymore, if you want to understand what is actually happening. You have to know people or wonder into alternative media looking for podcasts. Small wonder that Trump and his ilk are winning in elections.
