  1. This seems to have been basically the same proposal that Hamas made earlier. Very strange. Also, I have to wonder why Biden would go in person to face the cameras with the specific proposal like this, when the parties have not agreed to the proposal. Looks more like campaign season tactics than actual diplomacy. But even from that perspective, how will it benefit Biden to make proposals that Israelis the proceed to ignore?
