Ukraine does not meet any of the criteria of joining EU. It would be absolute insanity to let them in. I do not know where Mr. Bildt gets his information from, but Ukraine has lots thousands of lives for no gain. Various long-range strikes will not have a decisive influence on this war. They are of course important when they happen to you, but on the strategic scale they are pinpricks or media distractions. They do have an escalatory dimension to them, however. Some are behaving like escalation does not exist anymore and we can just do whatever, but that is not the case. This war needs to end. We are headed for a catastrophic defeat otherwise.
