  1. The Knesset recently voted against any two-state solution. It was unanimous. Even the opposition leaders are totally pro-war. 46% of Israeli population thinks IDF has not gone far enough in Gaza, according to polling. It is safe to say they have crossed the Rubicon and are totally committed to solving the Palestine question with military force alone. This is also bad news for Biden. He has been talking about the two-state solution, which Netanyahu would never accept. So Netanyahu very likely wants to keep the war going until November for US electoral reasons. If Biden loses and Trump returns, Trump will give Israel anything and everything. Biden has been getting record donations from the Israel lobby, which makes the whole thing even more sordid. It is also interesting that French and American diplomats have both been negotiating with Lebanon and Hezbollah to keep the war from expanding. They have virtually the same proposals. What seems to have happened is that US diplomats copied the French proposal in order to steal thunder and give Biden a political win. They may well be able to bribe and bully their way to success. It is who Americans are today. They would cut their allies throats for a headline.
