Like that excuse will fly any day ... There are laws against these as in the past a lot of mafiosi did claim the same just with cash or other assets
1
@lorenk.775 Most countries have AML (anti money laundering) laws, so it would be that persons responsibility to show the proof that they lost it.
1
Unfortunately Armenia doesn't seem to do the government debt option any longer
1
Not sure you'd wanna live there honestly. Have you been there? I have ..
1
@wouter1602 What sort of business do you operate?
1
@wouter1602 Ok, I was wondering how dealing with authorities there went. I could not image opening a bank account or registering a company even. When I last visited ~ten years ago (during the war/ethnic conflict) the corruption from government officials was staggering. Otherwise .. I love their bread when freshly out of the oven .. Kymyz .. not so much :D
1
@mynamename5172 there was a screen with a countdown to the next station .. as is rather common in a lot of countries
1
@kevinstfort yup and you?
1
@speicherkanal4894 Absolutely, it depends on personal lifestyle. Switzerland is probably not the worst choice, especially for families and if you're really wealthy.
1
How is dating in Portugal? Are women feminism fans like they are in Spain?
1
has it been passed yet?
1
@Twitch760 The ones too lazy and entitled to make a living for themselves?
1
piketty is a communist
1
@LisaCulton I totally agree that the system needs major reform. I personally could do without the socialized system altogether but that's unlikely to happen. I wasn't even having insurance for years due to a legal loophole until everyone was forced to by the social democrats. One of my former partners is a physician in Switzerland as well and for the most part their system makes more sense.
1
Miami will sink too unfortunately
1
If you want to conduct blue collar crime, ask a taxi driver. If you want to conduct white collar crime, ask a real estate agent.
1
Nope

80% taxes are not respect for private property

I work in health care and everyone knows this. But try convincing a patient to change their unhealthy lifestyle in a 15min to 1h time window, success rate unfortunately is very low. Most folks just don't want to be bothered and be prescribed some sort of pill against easily preventable issues. This is why I don't work in a field with these chronic conditions because its just frustrating.
1
It's how socialism works. The political class wants all of your wealth transferred to them and you being poor, so you keep voting for them as they promise you "free" stuff (paid for by a fraction of what they steal from you).
1
Have only traveled in Afgh. Did you live there? Definitely met some of the most interesting people in my whole life
1
Sorry but that is just populistic nonsense.
1
@FitnessOnAutopilot Where I live they have to advice you to change your lifestyle for at least 6 months before prescribing medication unless it is very, very high.
1
@FitnessOnAutopilot And you can guess how many patients actually change their lifestyle.
1
Common law is a huge problem .. Courts have a hard time striking these orders down
1
Venezuela is probably the worst in that list. The others aren't that bad compared to certain central American cities actually ..
1
@zzzowie I have been to several of those yes. You?
1
@zzzowie I don't trust you no. LOL! I have been to those myself and have a very different experience. Where have you been in Afghanistan and Iraq?
1
@zzzowie Kabul e.g. is much safer than Cape Town or say (the worst i've ever been) Port Moresby. One can walk around town alone easily but try doing that in CPT or Moresby alone .. good luck.
1
That club membership is a steal!
1
HSBC is now also pretty much controlled by the CCP
1
Portugal taxes are also nuts ..
1
Don't want my kids to suffer a totalitarian socialist government
1
@monsirto good s heeple
1
@wanderingdoc5075 touts and other low lifes (drug dealers) approaching you in a very pushy, aggressive manner and following you around town
1
@MegaBloodfarts Perhaps the government did finally crack down on those folks. I've travelled almost all over the Arab and Muslim world and Morocco was by far the worst IMHO.
1
@the_gilded_age_phoenix8717 That's interesting, I didn't think they have a welfare system.
1
Not sure what is the biggest threat to the free world .. Biden or the CCP .. oh wait .. They're one and the same
1
Ukraine is a corrupt totalitarian state
1
Ukraine is a corrupt totalitarian state
1
Ukraine is a corrupt totalitarian regime .. so no surprises there
1
If the country has socialist leanings in the past .. I'd personally avoid it
1
A rigorous boarding school is probably best I'd agree.
1
Sounds like how Hitler took control.
1
@burnsvaughan dating is wild AF as someone who has been working there
1
it isn't no .. not by any stretch
1
Anglosphere countries are much worse these days unfortunately .. US, Canada, Aus, NZ .. They have all overtaken the EU in terms of socialism
1
I heard already several good things about Ghana. Can you share more? Like how is it doing business (lets say buying/selling real estate, operating a business/shop) there as a foreigner?
1
That picture of Saint Lucia looks stunning!
1
Let's not exaggerate too much. In a lot of places yes, you'd be pretty safe, but certainly not anywhere.
