  1. You are aware that those ranges are always classified and I am not aware that Russia owns a missile that can reach almost 400 kilometers, from a jet and reliably hit an aircraft at such ranges. YOu know nothing.

  2. LRRPFco52 Lol. Those aircraft of the flaker series are huge and the fan blades are exposed - they would be no problem for the Typhoon‘s current radar to detect at large distances. And the meteor could have a range of 1000 miles but it would not be useful if one can’t find enemy planes (to avoid misunderstandings obviously Meteor does not have that range). I don’t think that it would need F35 so bad.

  3.  @LRRPFco52  Obviously a Su-35 could detect it but so can Eurofighter so none would really have the advantage. Typhoon can be guided by literally anything, does not need the F35 to guide it. UK chose the F35 for their new carriers and Italy wants to replace the Tornado. Typhoon can do strike missions independently without substantially increasing the risk for it.
