NASA never said such thing.

The Van Allen belts aren't too big of a problem. You pass them fast on your way and you are inside a aluminium space capsule that protects you from the alpha and beta radiation.

There was this idea there might be diseases on them but they were found to be sterile. They keep them sealed because they don't want any contamination when doing experiments with them. So for example, they want to measure how much water they contain and what isotopes - can't do that if they aren't in pristine condition.

There are many samples all over the earth to see. I have seen one in Germany. But out in the open, they would be contaminated and essentially worthless for science.

Nope. It did happen... We have the moon rocks, we have the eye witnesses, we have photographies of the lunar landing sites and we do have videos with experiments that could only be done in a lunar environment.

Just because we haven't been there since doesn't mean we can't go there. It is just very costly and NASA has nowhere near the funding they once had. There are videos of the landings and take-off (Including external footage from 15-17). How they approached the moon? There are a few pictures but during the landing the astronauts were a bit busy. Telescopes don't have anywhere near the resolution needed to picture a 2m large object almost 400,000 kilometers away. But we have some space probes in lunar orbit and they made the photos. Heat of space? Space does not have intrinsic heat. Heat is a property of matter and space is very much empty of matter. The only heat there is is radiation and, for the boots, conduction / convention on the lunar surface. And the material could stand the temperature of the lunar surface (127°C). They have no stars in the background because their light is very faint compared to the light of the sun... Exposure time to the film was simply not long enough. You don't know anything about science...

I don't need to believe, I know they went.

The Van Allen belt isn't a deadly trap for anyone travelling through it at high speed inside space capsule.

@langraman8756 They have trouble with the funding...

@langraman8756 NASA in the 1960s got 5% of the federal budget. Today they got 0.5% and have way more tasks to attend.

What should a lunar lander look like according to you?
