China has factories that produce pre-segmented bridges. Vastly cheaper but the European method allows stronger bridges.... Nothing really about corruption. China expanded their network when corruption was still rampant. And you don't just forbid corruption. 2. Incomparible? China is great with infrastructure projects but don't forget that Swiss and Austrian engineers built tunnels that vastly eclipse that of Chinese engineers in magnitute and difficulties. Japan has HSR for 50 years and no deaths despite earthquakes and tsunamis. American engineers are about to launch a helicopter on Mars. Truly, don't gloat too much. Arrogancy is nothing that would suit a culture designed on modesty. 3. Don't forget that the Chinese leaders alienate a lot of leaders in Asia... Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Indonesia... And no, I am not misinformed by western media lol.
