@ziyadzerh1953 The prophet said a lot of things, some things have contradictions with others. Conquest is just a part of life. Has been before and will be after we both are dead. Islam spread through conquest… Israel isn‘t the enemy of muslims… Israel is however a welcomed distraction for arab governments as a focal point to deflect criticism to there. Thousands of people are killed annually by others in the Arab world but Israel is the problem? Most people in the MENA region aren’t even a little impacted by Israel… In fact, many arab Israelis are living a quiet life there with political participation in a stable nation with good economy and healthcare…

Cause they had a few decades in the lead. Turkey is secular for a century now and has a strong manufacturing and science base. Although they do their best to get rid of that… Qatar is a small nation with stagnant indigenous population. They have enough money to live on the returns of investment, UAE also successfully liberalised their society to an appropriate extend for expats and tourists. They are far enough for non-oil income. Indonesia has always practised a more open and tolerant Islam and has centuries of practise. Malaysia is similar in this regard. Egypt by size alone will have an internal market and houses a number of minorities. Problems exist though. The problems with Saudi Arabia is that people in the world only see Saudi Arabia as this strict intolerant muslim nation which practises a radical form of Islam that roots the country in a backwardness. I mean, women just recently got the right to drive around… there wasn‘t much of a cultural scene. It will take Saudi Arabia decades to reverse the image and it would take a concentrated effort to liberalise the society to the UAE extend. It is unclear whether they would go for it though.

The entire population in this area has exploded, although the birth rates for Saudi Arabia have already declined. TFR is now hovering at around 2.0 and the number of live newborns has been steadily at some 580.000 newborns annually. The median age is already at 31.8 years and this is expected to rise sharply over the next decades. The Saudi growth will continue but will reach a plateau at around 2040 and then begin to decline if trends continue as they are. Their curve will look like Germany today.
