I do. Or at least a drastically reduced carbon emission

Electricity prices generally rise. Actually many renewables have lower prices now. We simply need storage and excess energy. There are plans for large molten salt cavers to keep heat and therefore energy in the salt caverns of northern Germany.

Actually some nations in Europe run entirely on renewable electricity. Installing more capacity is needed though for hydrogen and E-Fuels.

@paperweight57 Albania for example. Norway gets most of their electricity from from hydroelectric power. Britain has managed days without any coal power. They use nuclear though. Still, we need to get rid of carbon if only to get less dependent on foreign sources (That includes Uranium too).Never ever should we be put into a situation where we are dependent on some countries for energy.

@paperweight57 Oh no, we cannot use 95% hydroelectric. But what we can do is a combination of solar and wind. With solar modules on houses and other real estates, more wind turbines and an investment into electric capacitators we can produce enough energy for ourselves. With the rise of the true european grid, we have enough capacity in the future. Norway is deffo not a third world country. Anyway, we need to diversify. A mix of solar, nuclear, wind and geothermal.

Thorium is an easy way to produce fission material for nukes.

@chapter4travels Actually Germany gets more electricity from renewables nowadays. Although we only use 20% of primary energy from renewables.
