Nah, labour isn't the biggest problem for chip producers.
1
Actually it is. It uses a lot of oil that could be exported...
1
@donarthiazi2443 Sure, but this is costly, even for them. There are much better uses for their oil than just burning it.
1
Who would have thought that a nation which violently oppresses women would resort to violence... Lying religionists...
1
It takes an immense amount of energy and you need to produce this energy cheaply and best, renewably.

Incorrect, incorrect, incorrect, incorrect../

Nothing illegal about Israel

Disagree. Just by looking at dictators and their costs of live.

Iranians had no choice.

The debris is a 21 ton rocket that is uncontrolled and can cause damage. And no, only when CZ-5B is launched. If you launch such massive structures you need to have a soluton so that it doesn't hit populated areas.
1
@sikli938 It launched a week ago and is still in an unstable orbit. It will come down soon. The debris was a SpaceX part that fell off during re-entry apparently. Difference between a 21-ton stage that was launched without a care in the world where it would come down vs a part falling off during a re-entry. You know the world failure? If it fails it is not performing as it should. Your country launches huge stages into space and then just dump them in unstable orbits to uncontrollably go down somewhere on earth. This isn’t China bashing. This is a failure on your rocket design. Now go and nurse your ego how we always lie (we don’t) about China. China stronk…

Many of those older and requiring more government resources

1. These protests are genuine. We Europeans and Americans have no hand in this. You can try to ignore the problems but they won't go away. 2. Don't support terrorist organisations and don't built nukes. Simple really. 3. Saudi Arabia sucks but at least they have begun turning into a better direction. 4. And 5 have been shot by security.... Whereas nobody was hanged yet by MBS for such a protest.

@harishvbn6334 what makes you think Boeing would do so?
1
@harishvbn6334 But as the report says, Airbus is not building an assembly line for commercial jets…
1
@harishvbn6334 Modi cannot force Airbus lol. You overestimate his power. Modi can try to entice them with tax cuts and fast track bureaucracy. Airbus will built a plant when it suits them. And right now it does not. They can't unilaterally increase production and if they can they will do it where they already have the existing infrastructure for them. India for them is not a good investment right now. And Indian airlines are private companies. Modi has no power to force them to decide their fleet policies. Military is something else. It's typical for production of military goods to be transferred to the buyer. Happened with the F16 a lot. And where else would India buy? Boeing? Got their hands full with their crisis right now. Embraer doesn't built the same stuff, Russia can't even built planes in Russia and China is learning atm.
1
@harishvbn6334 I am German. Apple decided to move some production of their components to India but way more money is invested elsewhere. Indian private companies have ordered the aircraft, not the Indian government. The Indian government cannot order anyone. 1000 planes is the production of around 1,5 years. China, a country with vastly more resources and talent, has so far struggled with jet liners.

It's because of their legitimisation. In the political theory of the Islamic Republic of Iran - God is the sovereign and not the Ayatollah. The Ayatollah is basically the space holder for the end times when nations and stuff doesn't matter. The country isn't based on the people but on God and the Quran. The conservative clerics alledge that all governmental decisions etc. must be in accordance of Quran and that only those with islamic background can successfully run a theocracy. Now, we all know that the Iranian government is no more holy than the rest of the world. There is murder, lies, political games, corruption overall. In order to retain legitimacy with the religious groups that back them and form their power base they enforce a very rigid and conservative interpretation of religion on everyone. And given that they say Quran mandates Hijab, they enforce it. And they can't stop enforcing it for a few reasons. For example, they declare Hijab optional - but then 40 years of clerical rule have shown a grave oversight. If they declare optional Hijab without reinterpretation they would violate their own constitution which is basically the Quran. And lastly, this is about control. It is a very visible sign that the government has total control, even about your attire.

That 12 point plan offers nothing concrete that any other nation hasn't said already.
1
This is a deal between private businesses. Indian government has no say in it.
1
Maybe they aren't even muslim - why should they follow the rules of a religion they don't believe in
1
Because against Israel they can protest against an outsider and assume the underdog role (weird because there are plenty of powerful muslim nations). Against Iran, they would have to attack a supposed member of the Ummah.

There isn’t much wildlife in this area

The characterisation of 2 lost subs as several is disingenuous. And while they are lost, the reactors are in the water submerged and therefore completely cool. And they are far from human habitation and they don’t pose a threat to anyone. Whereas this rocket stage can just come down anywhere and potentially cause damage. We care because this is an acute situation that could be easily resolved if China would only acknowledge the engineering problem that they have. But good job on your behalf completely ignoring the risks of massive rocket stages falling uncontrollably on earth. Nice deflection

Nobody with diabetic coma warrants such an extensive medical treatment... you treat it with some glucose and insulin...
