@_Error__ Yeah, the concept of ethnoreligion isn't appealing to me either but at least Israel accepts Atheism and is secularly organised, for the most part.

@iamnotok_ I know that many aren't like this, but you must admit that there are very, very many people in this region that do support such murderous statements. Pew Research in 2013 found that some 80% of Egyptian Muslims wanted the death penalty for Muslim Apostates for example. That is a very clear majority, and while I think a lot of those would reconsider; there is a large part that cannot accept atheism or apostasy and would punish it with death. We need an attitude change in this region - less religious dogma and rites and more individual spirituality. "Live and let live".

@peak6829 Hitler killed for national socialism. Stalin was a crazy dude (who was training as a priest). You know, people can be religious and do bad stuff. I have yet to see any atheist terrorism.

@_Error__ I wish both sides would come to peace because this would improve theor lives so much. But hardliners on both sides have no interest

So the only way why you don't run around to do crime, murder, rape (...) is because you fear someone will punish you for it? Now that is sad.
