The only amendment they care about is the second. They would not be protesting if any other amendment was supposedly threatened.

@johndillinger1918 It does not. It would however enable a small, radicalised militia to organise themselves and overthrow government. There are countless countries older than the US without a second amendment and whose countries have equal freedoms.

@johndillinger1918 Like during the communist revolution in Russia? A small minority (Bolsheviks actually is Russian for minority) overthrew a government to install their own dictatorship. Just because the people do it doesn't mean it is good. I heard that from conservatives in respect to many other topics.
