Kev we could have denied you entry because all members must approve. Instead we willingly took you in and gave you billions of aid. I for one don’t see a reason why I should pay for something that I never committed.
11
Maybe Lukachenko should heed the will of his people
10
@gorkemgok6024 Turkey didn’t fail completely. You have elections in 2023. And I think you will appreciate what you had a lot more now that you almost lost it
8
Maybe not wait for Allah but take proactive measures
8
Most likely some got out but left all their material behind. They could not evacuate before the speech was done.
8
Apparently you don’t read much European news. Hungary is mentioned quite often
7
In Germany it is around 9% on a yearly basis. You will note this is much lower and even more important, this is a new development whereas Turkish inflation has been high for years now
5
It has been normal for ages… Floods happen.
5
@ufukzengin2283 Yeah, and waste good money for a project with immense costs and doubtful benefits
4
Why should Germany be responsible for a nation 6000 kilometers away
4
Tutkey has had inflation for years and in no part of the developed world is the problem this bad…
4
That is not Germany's problem anymore. Those lands aren't the lands of Germans anymore as they don't hold the German citizenship.
4
I am German but have had east German relatives and I spend several years in Latvia. If the ToI truly wrote that, they are delusional. Russia doesn’t do justice. In Russia and the former Russian controlled states; justice was always a mercy given by a ruler from the top. Not a right you can depend on. With courts more show than actual justice. Equality? Russia? The USSR nomenclature lived like kings, could travel, had spare housing; the rest of the population did not nearly have the same chances. Today a Russian pensioneer barely survives when Oligarchs stole the treasury. Times of India should be ashamed
4
@news_internationale2035 that we don’t know; given how the election was neither free or fair…
4
For that matter Argentina would have to have existed as a nation before ever having a claim to the Falklands
4
You probably don’t have even know German culture
4
Nigeria and some coastal African nations will have other foods that can be substituted. But Tunisia, Egypt and other north Africa countries as well as countries like Somalia and Sudan depend on foreign cereals to survive. Egypt for example cannot feed its population. Egypt has like 2% arable land and 100 million people all wanting to eat. They also cannot afford to purchase wheat at world market price forever and they are the largest importers of wheat in the world. So yes, Northern Africa is severely affected by the wheat price. Personally I am more worried about countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh though which now have to purchase LNG at much higher prices.

Wealth on its own will not help us. We need working age people. All those who didn’t have kids contributed to this
3
They can if they find an ally
3
If you have no idea about things, stop posting. Tell me, how liberal are Turkey, North African nations, Russia, Asian nations? Most nations have low fertility nowadays.
3
Russia has done colonialism in Asia... Just read about their empire.
3
Get them tanks immediately and pick 100 pilots for the winter and train them on F16s.
3
@colinmcdonald2499 There won't be that much fighting in winter. Having 100 pilots from Ukraine in the US doing an accelerated course should have been done ages ago. Ukraine will need a new air force anyway, might as well start now. Give them some F-16 Block 50/52, some PMGs and watch Russia falling.
3
@news_internationale2035 That last US election was free and fair despite what Trump says
3
Salty much that Russia loses ?
3
@mimovil8730 and how many vessels would pay for the canal if there is a free waterway?
2
Oh please not Söder. I would have wanted Merz....
2
No, NATO is not the aggressor.
2
If you learn some European history you would know. Russia has spend the öast centuries trIng to extend their rule west. After WW2, Russia installed governments that were little more than vassals against the will of the people. Once free of the USSR, those countries took the chance to join NATO to be secure.
2
Trump laid out an unacceptable peace plan. This isn't peace. No Palestinian can accept that.
2
Didn’t expect to be so resisted
2
And why on Earth would I, a 24 year old German, be willing to pay thousands of my money to Poland when I have done no crime, committed no atrocities, to Polish people who weren't alive back then?
2
Not so much. Artillery duels mainly. A few villages retaken by Ukraine but the massive offensive is around Charkiv.
2
Just ask your local bank
2
Kupiansk…
2
@obeproduction6862 So this is the big issue? That they did not yet capture a city but only towns? FYI - this is an offensive with the largest gain for Ukraine in months - in fact no side has gained that much territory since March now. They have taken dozens of villages, the towns of Kupiansk and Izium had to be evacuated by the Russian army due to the offensive. Shows your lack of military understanding - is an offensive only good when they capture a city?
2
And in Germany we have a saying "Freshly stolen, already in Poland"...
2
@k.p.636 No, merely responding to someone who can’t let go
2
The EU did nothing of that sort. That was France and Britain with input from Sweden. Leave the rest of us out there. Either way, I remember how glad many Libyans were when Ghaddafi was gone. It's not as if there wasn't an uprising ...
2
No worries, we will manage.
2
@paulcunningham2859 Obviously countries complained. But we paid. Defense spending in 1989 in Germany was 2.5%, in 1970 it was 3%.
2
Russia can't take Kyiv, I doubt they could cross 50 miles into Poland.
2
@colinmcdonald2499 It also depends on available training and they need to keep some pilots in reserve at home. They could do with some 40 F-16 and then have 2.5 pilots per plane.
2
@StarOfDavidKush it‘s unlikely that this is a battery. It would not detonate as it did, it would be far slower and those explosions are too timed.
2
And when will the Russian genius finally defeat Ukraine?
2
That’s what Russian State TV tells you?
2
Strategic bombers in a country with intact air defence is a bad idea. Especially if they can't really do high altitude precision strikes.
2
Because if your economic growth is 9% but your inflation is 20%, you don't grow at 9%. Usually, economic GDP growth rate is given in nominal GDP growth rate. So this is your 9%. But this also includes the price hikes for everything. So if your prices rise 20%, this directly raises GDP without any additional productivity, which GDP measures. This is the "real GDP growth" which is corrected for inflation. This real GDP growth rate is far lower than 9%.
2
Do you have any source for your claims?
2
A peacemaker? Lol… Ah, given how thousands of Turkish doctors learn German to leave for Germany, no worries about us either
