  5. Yes, 7% vs 36%. After decades without much inflation at all. Turkey has run-away inflation since 2018. If the FED were to raise interest rates now, the inflation problem in the US won't cease since this is not a problem of too much money but because of limited supply. Just check how the oil price looks; that is driving costs. Additionally, any rate increase in the US is a problem for developing countries because a) loanes they took become more expensive and b) capital moves from their countries where it is used to the US, leaving them dry. Not sure whether Turkey will be less dependent on foreign energy imports as consumption of energy is rising in Turkey. Low interest rates can stimulate the economy but they can exacerbate inflation, right now inflation is the problem. What good is growth when you can't afford 2 meals every day anymore?
