  2. As a med student, you are wrong on so many levels. Most medicine is subsidised by your health insurance and you only have a co-pay to do. Drug prices are far lower than in the US. All treatments that have been proven to be effective and adequate are covered. Nobody has to pay out of wallet for necessary treatments. Small copays for better beds are a totally different thing. They take some money of your paycheck depending on your income. I personally think that 400€ a month for a complete health insurance is very decent.
