  1.  @TheHistoryGuyChannel  Respectfully, that part of the world was known as Israel way before 500BC. Herodotus' nomenclature has not been widely acknowledged in history. AD 70 after the defeat of the Jewish revolt, the Romans named those lands "Palestina", in an effort to eliminate Judaism. Name re-used by Britain which had a mandate to govern following WW1 end of Ottoman Empire.
